“The Last Dance” is a photographic project that captures the raw intensity and emotional gravity of youth boxing in Morocco, focusing on a pivotal Ramadan tournament held in the Hraouiyine Youth Center of Casablanca. At its core, the project explores the intersection of discipline, survival, and fleeting glory as experienced by young athletes navigating the ring. Through carefully composed frames and the use of double exposure techniques, the images reveal the duality of their world—the physical combat and the internal battles they carry. The title, The Last Dance, speaks to the poetic tension of each fight, where every bout could be a final performance, a last stand for pride, recognition, or self-worth. The project not only documents sport but also invites reflection on masculinity, resilience, and the unspoken dreams of a generation coming of age between punches and prayers.
