This is from my African Series, featuring the vibrant floating Village of Ganvie on Lake Nokoué in Benin. Possibly the largest lake village in Africa, created in the 16th or 17th centuries by the Tofinu people. The country runs from the Gulf of Guinea in the Atlantic Ocean, on which it has a 75-mile seacoast, to the Niger River, which forms part of Benin’s northern border.
