On these images you can see Kok Boru, a traditional horse game in Kyrgyzstan. I captured these images high in the mountains in the Naryn Region where the shepherds played it when they gathered. Kok Boru is a traditional game played by two teams on horseback, where players try to manoeuvre with a goat’s carcass and score by putting it into the opponents’ goal. Kok Boru is on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity
