The crowd of Marrakech
Between the end of January and the first days of February of this year, I was a guest of the city of Marrakech. It was the first time I went. I went to the Medina, because it is the beating heart of the city. Among its narrow streets and the charming little squares that suddenly emerge at the first corner, I could see people of all kinds: Japanese with the djellaba, girls and veiled women without veils, poor men live in the surrounding solidarity. The ten selected shots are just some of the shots made during my stay. I chose them, preferring the perhaps most famous area of the city, Piazza Jemaa-el-Fna and its immediate surroundings. It's a choice like any other, but I wanted to make sense of my work, on the occasion of the MPA.
