These are some still images I selected from my trip to Algeria and Morocco in summer 2017. This was a special and surreal trip for me since it was my first time going back to my country, Algeria, after 17 years. I also took the opportunity to go back-- after 24 years-- to my father's home city of Marrakesh . Shot all on 35mm B&W and color film stock, I knew this was the only method to recapture those nostalgic moments and memories of childhoods, my town and its people.
